Since 2007, passionate Mexican students at the University of Pennsylvania and Yale have come together every year to hold Convergencias, a collegiate conference that aims to address the developmental challenges and opportunities Mexico faces. We have brought together renowned scholars, politicians, and policy makers from Mexico, Latin America, and the United States. Over the years, hundreds of students have travelled from the top institutions in the nation to attend Convergencias and establish dialogues of the highest level in order to enrich their perspectives of our country. Previous panelists include:
- Dr. Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de León – Director Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, and Mexico’s Former President
- Fernando Canales Clarion – Former Governor of Nuevo León, and Former Economy Minister
- Dr. Luis E. Téllez Kuenzler – President Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), and Former Communication and Transportation Minister
- Dr. Edgardo Buscaglia – Fellow Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and ITAM Professor
